MESSAGE: “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” (2 Cor. 5:10)
MEANING: On the day of judgment, we shall either be rewarded or punished for the life we have lived. The thought of God’s judgment rightfully causes many to be afraid, but for Christians this will be a day of joy. With Jesus as our Savior the record of our sinful deeds will be blotted out by His blood. Then those deeds which we engaged in as faithful disciples will be looked upon by God with pleasure. When others fail to appreciate the deeds we perform now, remember that God is still pleased, and that a reward awaits you.
MOVEMENT: Take on a good deed for someone who cannot physically repay you. This will help you focus on God’s reward over mankind’s.
