CREATED FOR GOOD WORKS
MESSAGE: “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:8-10)
MEANING: God has always planned for the saved to imitate His grace by walking in good works. Our gracious deeds help demonstrate to sinners the gift of grace that is available from God through faith in Jesus Christ. We can see that God’s grace created a chain reaction of grace and good works. Therefore, we do not sin that grace may abound; We show grace by our good deeds that grace may abound!
MOVEMENT: Provide an undeserved gift for someone today. It may be an object, but could also be wise advice or even overdue forgiveness.
